RANKED : The Greatest Individual Premier League Seasons EVER!

No player single-handedly secures a Premier League title. It’s impossible for one individual to carry a team to victory without a strong supporting squad.

Yet, over a season, certain players stand out, contributing far more to their club’s success than expected of even the best goalkeepers, commanding defenders, versatile midfielders, or dynamic attackers.

Sometimes, these extraordinary efforts don’t result in a winners’ medal, but their peers typically—and deservedly—acknowledge their remarkable contributions.

With this in mind, TRENDINGBLOG247 SPORT ranks the greatest individual seasons in Premier League history, based on statistics, trophies, and overall impact...

Erling Haaland (Man City, 2022/23)

36 goals, 8 assists in 35 games. This Norwegian cyborg smashed the PL goal record in a 38-game season!

His lethal finishing powered City to a TREBLE: PL, UCL, FA Cup.  Swept every award going, but some say City’s stacked squad helped. Still, 36 goals? Insane.

His assists were low, and teammates shared the load. Is Haaland’s debut the best ever, or overrated?

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, 2017/18)

32 goals, 10 assists in 36 games. Salah’s Liverpool debut was a revelation!

Broke the 38-game goal record, won Golden Boot, PFA, FWA, and PL Player of the Season. His pace and left foot left defenders dizzy.  No title, but he set LFC on the path to glory.

Epic, but no silverware holds him back. Is Salah’s 2017/18 better than his 2024/25 so far? Let’s hear it!

31 goals, 12 assists in 33 games—without penalties!  Suarez nearly dragged Liverpool to the title, missing by two points. No ban could stop him (missed 5 games!).

Golden Boot, PFA, FWA, and pure chaos in every match.  A one-man army.

No title hurts, but his non-penalty goals are unreal. Is Suarez’s season underrated? Drop your thoughts!

Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd, 2007/08)

31 goals, 7 assists in 34 games—38 goal involvements. CR7’s breakout season led United to PL + UCL glory.  Golden Boot, Ballon d’Or, PFA, FWA, PL Player awards—a clean sweep!

His clutch goals and flair were unreal, but lower assists rank him #3. Is Ronaldo’s season the peak?

Thierry Henry (Arsenal, 2002/03)

24 goals, 20 assists in 37 games—44 goal involvements. The ONLY player with 20+ goals AND 20+ assists in PL history!

Henry’s vision, pace, and flair redefined forwards. PFA, FWA, PL Player awards, but no title. His 20/20 club is iconic. Is Henry the GOAT?

#1: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, 2024/25)

29 goals, 18 assists in 38 games—47 goal involvements! Salah led Liverpool to the PL title with 3,380 mins, 130 shots, 61 on target, 89 chances created, 27 big chances.  Golden Boot, Playmaker Award, PFA, FWA, PL Player of the Year. Broke records for most G/A in a 38-game season. A season for the ages!
