Paul Doyle Former Royal Marine Charged After Liverpool FC Parade Crash Injures Dozens

 



Paul Doyle, a 53-year-old former Royal Marine, has been charged with seven serious offenses after allegedly driving into a crowd of Liverpool FC fans during the team's Premier League victory parade.


The incident left dozens injured, including children, with some in serious condition.

Doyle faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving, wounding with intent, and attempted grievous bodily harm.

Doyle is accused of driving a grey Ford Galaxy into a restricted area, reportedly following an ambulance before accelerating into spectators.

The crash injured 79 people and led to 27 hospitalizations. 

While authorities have ruled out terrorism and believe Doyle acted alone, the motive remains unclear. He is due to appear in court on May 30.

Investigators continue reviewing CCTV and witness footage to understand the full circumstances.
