"Nigeria First" is making wave in Nigeria because that's the name of the newly unveiled policy by The Federal Government

The Federal Government has unveiled a new policy called "Nigeria First," which is currently generating widespread conversation. Aimed at prioritizing Made-in-Nigeria goods, the policy is backed by an executive order to drive economic reforms, according to Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume. The "Nigeria First" policy seeks to boost the country's economy by promoting local industries and products. By giving preference to domestically produced goods, the government hopes to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and reduce reliance on imported goods. This initiative is part of the government's broader economic reform agenda, aimed at revitalizing the nation's economy and improving the standard of living for Nigerians. The policy's success will depend on effective implementation and the cooperation of various stakeholders, including businesses and consumers.

Nigeria First is also trending because in reacting to the newly unveiled policy, former vice president and presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has challenged President Tinubu to lead by example by trading his Escalade for a car made by any of the indigenous vehicle brands such as Innoson or Nord.
