Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei expressed skepticism on Tuesday about the prospects of reaching an agreement with the United States through ongoing nuclear negotiations. According to Mehr News, Khamenei said, “I don’t think nuclear talks with the U.S. will bring results. I don’t know.” His remarks came as Iran was considering whether to proceed with a fifth round of negotiations aimed at reviving the 2015 JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), the nuclear deal from which the U.S. withdrew in 2018. Khamenei’s statement reflects growing doubt about the diplomatic process amid complex regional and international dynamics.
