Iran has publicly rejected the possibility of temporarily suspending uranium enrichment as part of nuclear negotiations with the United States, according to a spokesperson from Iran's Foreign Ministry. The spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, emphasized that Iran will not accept a freeze of its nuclear activities, dismissing reports that Iran might halt enrichment for three years to reach an agreement.
The negotiations, which are ongoing with mediator Oman and aim to resolve decades-long disputes over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, have seen both sides adopt tough public rhetoric.
