Iran Executes Man Convicted of Spying for Israel Iran has executed Pedram Madani, accused of spying for Israel’s Mossad. According to judiciary news outlet Mizan, Madani was sentenced after being found guilty of providing classified information to Israel and illegally acquiring wealth. Arrested in 2020, Madani’s case is part of Iran’s ongoing shadow war with Israel, which involves accusations of espionage, sabotage, and targeted assassinations. Last month, Iran also executed Mohsen Langarneshin on similar charges linked to Mossad. Iran does not recognize Israel and supports regional groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, while maintaining its nuclear program claims are peaceful—though it enriches uranium well beyond civilian needs and restricts international inspectors.
