Labour Party's National Chairman, Julius Abure, has come under scrutiny for his recent verbal attack on Abia State Governor, Alex Otti. During an emergency national executive council (NEC) meeting in Abuja, Abure made disparaging remarks about Governor Otti, describing him as "dwarfy in appearance and knowledge". Abure's comments didn't stop there, as he also accused Governor Otti of being ungrateful. According to Abure, Governor Otti's emergence as governor of Abia State was facilitated by his leadership, and he felt that Otti's current stance was a sign of ingratitude. These comments have sparked significant attention and reaction, with many questioning the appropriateness of Abure's words and the potential implications for the Labour Party. The controversy surrounding Abure's remarks is likely to continue as more people weigh in on the matter.
Julius Abure's vitriol against Governor Alex Otti was on retaliation at governor for an earlier statement where he said the LP caretaker committee had reclaimed the party from Abure’s control. Governor Alex Otti also accused The National Chairman of "masturbating" regarding his claims of still being in control of the party.
