(In Nigeria) Kano Sports Team in Mourning: 22 Die in Road Accident

 

A devastating road accident has claimed the lives of 22 representatives from Kano State, who were returning from the recently concluded National Sports Festival (NSF) in Ogun State.

The bus crash, which occurred near The Dakatsalle Bridge in The Kura Local Government area of Kano State, led to the deaths of athletes, journalists, sports administrators and medical personnel.

According to Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission Umar Fagge, the bus conveying 30 passengers fell from the bridge, leading to multiple deaths with several others injured.
