(In Nigeria) Eagle Square Hosts Workers' Day Rally: A Call for Economic Relief

 

Eagle Square, a prominent landmark in Abuja, is abuzz with activity as workers from across Nigeria have gathered to commemorate Labour Day with a rally.

The rally, organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress, brought together employees from various sectors, wearing uniforms that reflected their professions.

The Workers' Day rally at the Eagle Square witnessed the presence of heavy security personnel including officers of The Nigeria Police Force, The Department of State Service (DSS) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSDC).

The 2025 Workers' Day celebration has the theme "Reclaiming the Civic Space in the Midst of Economic Hardship”.
