(In Ghana) Bongo District Mourns as NHIA Director Mohammed Seidu Akugri Killed in Brutal Attack

 

Bongo, a district in Ghana’s Upper East Region, is reeling after the shocking murder of Mohammed Seidu Akugri, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) District Director. On the evening of May 19, 2025, unknown assailants ambushed Akugri in Nangodi, near Bolgatanga, while he was returning home.
