Chelsea Near £30m Deal for Ipswich Striker Liam Delap

Chelsea is making headlines in the world of sports as they near a £30 million deal to sign Ipswich striker Liam Delap.

The 22-year-old England U21 forward chose Chelsea over Manchester United and Newcastle, motivated by the chance to reunite with manager Enzo Maresca.

Delap's arrival fits Chelsea’s youth-focused rebuild, with support from familiar faces like Cole Palmer and Romeo Lavia.

Delap scored 12 goals in 37 games for Ipswich and is expected to finalise personal terms before the U21 Euros.

Ipswich are eyeing Chelsea’s Marc Guiu on loan as part of the deal, but he has yet to agree.

The move could also impact Nicolas Jackson’s role.

Chelsea's proactive transfer strategy shows strong backing for Maresca as they aim to build a dynamic squad for the future.
