Ranking the top 10 WrestleManias of all time!
From iconic matches to seismic moments, we're diving into the greatest of the grandest stage.
10. WrestleMania XIV (March 29, 1998)
This one’s a turning point. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin’s crowning as WWF Champion against Shawn Michaels, with Mike Tyson turning on DX to count the pin, kicked off the Attitude Era in earnest. It signaled WWF’s fightback against WCW in the Monday Night Wars.
The undercard had gems too like The Rock vs. Ken Shamrock and Triple H vs. Owen Hart but Austin’s win was the moment that changed everything. It’s not the deepest card, but its historical weight earns it a spot.
9. WrestleMania 22 (April 2, 2006)
"Big Time" lived up to its tagline. Rey Mysterio’s emotional World Heavyweight Championship win over Kurt Angle and Randy Orton was a feel-good triumph.
John Cena vs.Triple H delivered a solid WWE Title match, while Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon brought over-the-top chaos (HBK’s elbow drop through a table still slaps).
Edge vs. Mick Foley’s Hardcore match stole the show with its brutality Foley crashing through a flaming table remains etched in memory.
8. WrestleMania X (March 20, 1994)
The first WrestleMania without Hulk Hogan leaned hard on in-ring excellence. Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart kicked things off with a technical masterpiece Owen’s upset win was a shocker. Then, the ladder match between Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon for the Intercontinental Title redefined what WrestleMania could be: high-flying, risky, and revolutionary.
Bret’s title win over Yokozuna closed it out with a satisfying redemption arc. Slim card, but every big moment hit.
7. WrestleMania 30 (April 6, 2014)
A rollercoaster of emotions. Daniel Bryan’s "Yes Movement" culminated in a triumphant WWE World Heavyweight Championship win over Randy Orton and Batista, after beating Triple H earlier a perfect underdog story.
But Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker’s 21-0 streak left the Superdome in stunned silence; it’s still one of the most jaw-dropping moments in wrestling history.
The rest of the card (Cena vs. Bray Wyatt, Cesaro tossing Big Show) was solid, but those two moments alone make it legendary.
6. WrestleMania III (March 29, 1987)
The one that set the blueprint. Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant in front of 93,173 fans (or so they claim) at the Pontiac Silverdome is the most iconic image in WWE history pure spectacle.
Add in Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage, a technical classic for the Intercontinental Title that many call the best match ever, and you’ve got a show that defined "larger than life."
5. WrestleMania 21 (April 3, 2005)
"WrestleMania Goes Hollywood" launched the future. John Cena and Batista’s first world title wins over JBL and Triple H marked the passing of the torch to the next generation.
4. WrestleMania XIX (March 30, 2003)
A sleeper hit from a shaky era. Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle for the WWE Title was a mat-wrestling epic (despite Lesnar’s botched Shooting Star Press).
Stone Cold’s final match against The Rock closed their trilogy with raw emotion. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho was a show-stealer, and Triple H vs. Booker T, though flawed in story, delivered in the ring.
Even the women’s triple threat (Trish Stratus, Victoria, Jazz) shone. Top-to-bottom quality that defied expectations.
3. WrestleMania XL (April 6-7, 2024)
Night 2’s main event Rhodes dethroning Reigns in a chaotic Bloodline Rules match with cameos from Cena, Undertaker, and more was an all-timer.
Add Sami Zayn ending Gunther’s Intercontinental reign, Bayley’s title win, and a loaded card across two nights, and it’s a modern masterpiece.
2. WrestleMania 31 (March 29, 2015)
A slow build to a wild finish.
Sting vs. Triple H brought nostalgia (and nWo vs. DX chaos), while Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins kept things humming.
1. WrestleMania X-Seven (April 1, 2001)
Peak Attitude Era energy at the Astrodome: Stone Cold vs. The Rock for the WWF Title ended with Austin’s shocking heel turn, aligning with Vince McMahon—a gut-punch finish.
Triple H vs. Undertaker brought brawling intensity, and Shane McMahon vs. Vince added family-fueled insanity.
