Today in History: Justice Served - Derek Chauvin Found Guilty in George Floyd Murder Case

On April 20, 2021 – State of Minnesota v. Derek Michael Chauvin: Derek Chauvin is found guilty of all charges in the murder of George Floyd by the Fourth Judicial District Court of Minnesota.

The case of State of Minnesota v. Derek Michael Chauvin became one of the most significant legal proceedings in recent U.S. history, stemming from the tragic death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020. Floyd, a Black man, died after Chauvin, a white Minneapolis police officer, knelt on his neck for over nine minutes during an arrest.
