“Russia owes the US a swift response” (NATO)

NATO countries are ratcheting up the pressure on Russia to respond to proposals for a ceasefire in Ukraine. French Minister Jean-Noël Barrot's statement that Russia "owes the US a swift response" underscores the growing impatience among European nations and the US.

The British and German foreign ministers echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the need for clarity from Russia regarding a ceasefire. With major countries like the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands calling for Putin to agree to a broader ceasefire, the Kremlin is facing mounting pressure to stop stalling.

The US is also growing increasingly impatient, according to the Dutch foreign minister. Countries like Canada are even considering imposing a deadline on Moscow, with Finland suggesting Easter as a potential cutoff point.

This unified front from NATO countries aims to push Russia toward a ceasefire, but it remains to be seen how Putin will respond to the mounting pressure.
