Red Bull Driver, Max Verstappen Snatches Japanese Grand PrixPole from Norris in Thrilling Qualifying Session.

 

Max Verstappen pulled off a stunning performance to claim pole position at the Japanese Grand Prix, narrowly defeating McLaren’s Lando Norris by just 0.012 seconds. 

The Red Bull driver’s lap time of 1 minute 26.983 seconds around the demanding Suzuka circuit caught everyone off guard, especially since McLaren had dominated practice sessions. Norris, who briefly looked set to take pole, ended up second, while his teammate Oscar Piastri secured third, 0.044 seconds behind Verstappen after posting a 1 minute 27.052 second lap in Q3. 

This victory marked Verstappen’s first pole since the Austrian Grand Prix in 2024 and his 41st overall, a testament to his skill under pressure despite Red Bull’s earlier struggles during the weekend.
