On April 8, 2001, Tiger Woods etched his name into sports history by winning the Masters Tournament, a victory that completed an extraordinary feat known as the Tiger Slam.

 This achievement saw Woods claim all four of golf’s major championships within a remarkable 294 day span, showcasing his unparalleled dominance in the sport.

The journey began in June 2000 with the U.S. Open, where he won by a record breaking 15 strokes at Pebble Beach. Just a month later, he triumphed at the Open Championship in St. Andrews, becoming the youngest golfer to complete the career Grand Slam.

 In August, he outlasted Bob May in a playoff to secure the PGA Championship, making it three majors in a row. The Masters victory on April 8, 2001, sealed the deal, as Woods finished at 16 under par, beating David Duval by two strokes.
