I Will Soon Present Sexual Assault Evidence Against Akpabio — Natasha.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central Senatorial District has vowed to present evidence of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. In a recent interview on Channels Television's Politics Today programme, Akpoti-Uduaghan stated that she will reveal the evidence at the right time and in the right space. This development comes after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected a petition for her recall, citing that it did not meet the constitutional requirements.

Akpoti-Uduaghan welcomed INEC's decision, describing it as "in the right direction." As a lawyer and senator, she expressed her understanding of how Nigeria works and acknowledged that the recall process has been stalled. She also commended INEC for their decision, although she believed they should have dismissed the petition earlier. The petition, which was submitted by Charity Omole, an aide to Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, claimed to have gathered 208,000 signatures. However, Akpoti-Uduaghan argued that most of the addresses provided were false, and if INEC had proceeded with verification, they would have found fewer than 500 people willing to attest to signing the petition.

The dispute between Akpoti-Uduaghan and Akpabio began with a seat arrangement issue, which escalated into allegations of sexual harassment and abuse of office against the Senate President. The Senate subsequently suspended Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months for misconduct. Despite this, Akpoti-Uduaghan remains determined to pursue justice and present her evidence against Akpabio. Her case has sparked widespread attention and outrage, with many calling for accountability and an end to sexual harassment in Nigerian politics.
