Nigerian Army Appoints First Female Acting Director of Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Anele Onyinyechi

 The Nigerian Army has made history with the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Anele Onyinyechi Appolonia as its first female Acting Director of Army Public Relations. Anele, a member of Direct Regular Course 15 and a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, will take over from Major General Onyema Nwachukwu on April 22, 2025, after his redeployment to the Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre. This milestone marks a significant step for the Nigerian Army, with Anele bringing her expertise in public relations to the role, having previously served as Public Relations Officer at the office of the Chief of Army Staff
