NFL icon Tom Brady congratulates Birmingham City on promotion to the Championship.

NFL superstar Tom Brady recently took to social media to celebrate Birmingham Citys promotion to the Championship, Englands second tier of football. The club, where Brady holds a minority ownership stake, secured their spot with a 2 1 victory over Peterborough United on April 8 2025.

This win guaranteed Birmingham a top two finish in League One with six games still to play in the 2024 25 season. Brady, who joined the clubs ownership group in August 2023, expressed his excitement with a bold message: "Straight back to the Championship and not done yet."

His words reflect a clear ambition for more success in the future. Birmingham City, under the leadership of American investment firm Knighthead, has undergone a remarkable turnaround. After suffering relegation from the Championship in the 2023 24 season, the Blues dominated League One this year, leading the table with an impressive campaign.

Bradys involvement has brought extra attention and optimism to the club, which now sits just one division below the Premier League. The seven time Super Bowl champions belief in the teams potential is evident, and fans are buzzing with hope that this promotion is only the beginning. With Knightheads backing and Bradys star power, Birmingham City seems poised for bigger things.

The Championship offers tougher competition, but the clubs swift return suggests theyre ready to compete. Bradys not done yet comment hints at a long term vision, possibly a Premier League push in the seasons ahead. For now, supporters are celebrating this milestone, eager to see whats next for the Blues as they prepare for the 2025 26 Championship season.
