New York Attorney General Letitia James Accused of Mortgage Fraud, Falsifying Records.

Letitia James, the New York Attorney General, is facing allegations of mortgage fraud, accused of falsifying records to secure home loans. According to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director William Pulte, James claimed a Virginia property as her "principal residence" in 2023 while serving as a New York state prosecutor, which could be considered misrepresentation.  Letitia James allegedly purchased a home in Virginia and claimed it as her primary residence to get better loan terms, despite actively serving as New York's Attorney General at the time.

James is accused of misclassifying a Brooklyn property in 2001, stating it had four units instead of five, potentially to qualify for more favorable mortgage conditions.

Letitia James reportedly listed her father as her husband on older mortgage forms from 1983 and 2000, which could be considered fraud if it affected loan terms or approval.

These developments have sparked reactions due to James' vocal stance against President Trump, whom she previously sued for allegedly inflating his net worth. Trump has publicly slammed James, calling her "corrupt" and urging her to resign. The allegations against James have garnered attention from MAGA supporters, who highlight the irony given James' previous assertions that "no one is above the law"
