Lagos State University is trending in Nigeria because it is set to graduate 11,917 students during its 28th convocation ceremony, with 192 students earning First-Class Honours.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, highlighted that these results reflect academic excellence across faculties.
The best-graduating student, Nwosu Isioma Sybil from Biochemistry, achieved a CGPA of 4.93, making her the top performer for the 2023/2024 academic session.

LASU will also confer 2,235 postgraduate degrees, including 125 PhDs and 37 professional doctorates.
Two notable Nigerians, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (retd) and Otunba Olufemi Pedro, will receive honorary doctorates for their contributions.
In addition, Prof. Joseph Abayomi Olagunju will be conferred the title of Distinguished Professor in recognition of his dedication and scholarly impact.
The event underscores LASU’s growing reputation for academic excellence and leadership.
