British broadcaster and political commentator James O'Brien has voiced serious concerns over the Labour Party's proposed "migrant crime league tables," warning that the policy could foster public misinformation and inflame xenophobic sentiment.
Speaking on his LBC radio show, O'Brien questioned the intent behind publishing crime data separated by immigration status.

“Will the media also publish the fact that the massive majority of crimes in this country are committed by non-foreigners?” he asked.
He argued that the move risks distorting public perception and amplifying existing social tensions. “I don’t know what else this is designed to do but feed hatred,” he added.
The proposal, which reportedly aims to provide greater transparency around crime and immigration, has sparked backlash among critics who argue it could be misused to scapegoat migrant communities.
In a separate segment, O'Brien also addressed the fallout from a recently leaked set of White House communications, describing the breach as “the most egregious national security breach you can think of.”

He criticized the involvement of journalists in what he called a sensitive military-affiliated group chat, questioning the ethics and implications of such access.
The dual controversies have positioned O'Brien at the center of political and media discourse in the UK, as his critiques continue to resonate across public and political circles.
