A Federal Judge in Vermont has ruled for the release of Mohsen Mahdawi, a Palestinian Columbia University student who led anti-Israel demonstrations on campus.
Mahdawi, a Palestinian permanent resident of the United States with a green card for more than a decade, is one of several student activists targeted for expulsion by the Trump administration due to demonstrations on campuses against Israel's war in Gaza.

Mohsen Madhawi was arrested by immigration officials two weeks ago during an interview about finalizing his US Citizenship.
Immediately his release and right outside the courthouse, the Palestinian led supporters in chanting "The people united will never be defeated” and “Free Palestine”.
