In United State: Tiger Woods missed the Masters Champions Dinner at Augusta last night

Tiger Woods missed the Masters Champions Dinner at Augusta last night, as he recovers from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Tiger Woods was absent from the Masters Champions Dinner on April 8, 2025, held at Augusta National, a tradition for past champions.

This years event, hosted by Scottie Scheffler, missed the five time Masters winner due to his ongoing recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon. The injury, suffered during training last month, led to surgery in March, sidelining him from the 2025 Masters Tournament and raising questions about his golfing career.

It marks only the second time Woods has missed the dinner, the first being in 2021 after a serious car accident. Despite not competing or attending, Woods remains a towering figure in golf. Fans and peers alike felt the void, as his presence has long been a highlight of such gatherings. Meanwhile, he continues to shape the sport off the course.

Recently, Woods announced a collaboration with Augusta National to design a new nine hole course at Augusta Municipal Golf Course, a project that underscores his lasting impact. The Achilles injury adds to a string of physical setbacks for the 49 year old legend, whose resilience has defined much of his career.

While his return to competitive play remains unclear, this latest chapter has not dimmed his legacy. The Masters, where he first triumphed in 1997, continues without him this week, but his influence lingers, from the fairways to future designs.

As he rehabs, the golf world watches, hopeful yet uncertain about when or if the icon will swing again. For now, Woods absence from the dinner serves as a stark reminder of his current battle, juxtaposed against a career that redefined the game.
