In United State: Roof Collapse at Jet Set Nightclub Claims 65 Lives, Including Baseball Stars









Ruby Pérez is trending with Jet Set in The US because netizens are mourning the demise of Dominican merengue singer Rubby Pérez, who was killed on Tuesday, April 8.


Perez was killed alongside an estimated 65 other people when the roof of the Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo collapsed while he was performing.


Footage capturing the horrifying moment of the collapse, which shows the singer's on stage as the ceiling crumbles onto them, has been making the rounds on social media since the tragedy was confirmed.

The tragic collapse of the Jet Set also led to the death of Baseball World Series champion, Octavio Dotel, who gave up the ghost shortly after he was extracted from the wrecked club.

Another Dominican Baseball player and former major leaguer, Tony Blanco, was also killed in the devastating collapse.






While Dominican authorities have stated that it is too early to determine the cause of the Jet Set roof collapse, they have assured that rescue teams are still searching for survivors more than 12 hours after the tragedy.


Located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic's capital city, The Jet Set was famous for hosting merengue parties every Monday and boasted the presence of national and international artists as well as high-profile Dominicans.
