In United State: Grey's Anatomy' Icon Eric Dane Opens Up About ALS Journey

MCSteamy is trending in The US because actor Eric Dane whose nickname is Dr McSteamy for his role as a plastic surgeon in medical drama Grey's Anatomy, has disclosed that he has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis aka ALS.

The actor who disclosed the saddening diagnosis in a statement issued  People's Magazine, has elicited reactions of sorrow and disbelief from netizens and fans.

Also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, ALS is a terminal neurological disorder that degrades a patient’s ability to control muscles, speak and eventually breathe without assistance.

Most people diagnosed with ALS are typically given a life expectancy of 5 years.

While imploring the public for privacy, 52 year old Eric Dane extended gratitude to his family for their support since his diagnosis. He also stated his intention to returning to the set of "Euphoria" next week.
