In Nigeria: Sarki Sparks Debate Over Calling Abuja a No-Man's Land

Gagyi is trending in Nigeria because of a comment by popular social commentator, Sarki, who argued that calling Abuja a no-man’s land is disrespectful to the Hausa/Fulani people who helped build the city.

He compared it to calling Lagos a no-man’s land.

In response, others pointed out that Abuja belongs to the Gbagyi and the Gwari, and claimed the city's identity has been overlooked in favor of other groups.
