Nigerians are making waves online with Remontada because football fans are hilariously trolling Real Madrid’s failed comeback attempt against Arsenal. 

The Spanish term “La Remontada” was hyped in Madrid’s dressing room, but after falling 5-1 on aggregate, Nigerians twisted it into “La Ramota”, a playful mix of Spanish and Yoruba. 

It’s not about Nollywood’s Aunty Ramota this time, but football banter at its finest.
