Netizens are mourning the death of the Pan Atlantic University Chairman and founder of the now defunct Diamond Bank.
According to a statement released by his son Uzoma, the entrepreneur died in the early hours of today April 8, at the age of 85.
Pascal Dozie also served as former chairman of telecommunications company MTN where he owned shares, chairman of the defunct Progress Bank and one time President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange

Pascal Dozie began his career as an economist at the National Economic Development Office in the United Kingdom. He was also a part-time lecturer at the North Western Polytechnic, London.

Between 1970 and 1971 he served as a consulting economist at the African States Consulting Organisation in Uganda. In 1971 after he left his job in Uganda, he relocated to Nigeria at his mother's request.
