In his statement, Onyema remarked, “We should discourage trafficking of any kind. It is inhumane and callous. It is ungodly and a good example of man’s inhumanity to man.” He reiterated Air Peace's commitment to assisting their fellow citizens by not only facilitating their return home but also ensuring they receive the necessary support.

He announced that all repatriated girls would receive free medical exams and treatment at Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja. Additionally, he urged the Nigerian Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire to coordinate the assembly of these girls and called on the Federal Government to prioritize their education and family reunification upon their return.
