(In Ghana) Violence Erupts at NPP's Thank You Tour in Kumasi: KNUST Student Stabbed


 A disturbing incident unfolded at the Bantama stop of the National Patriotic Party's Thank You Tour in Kumasi, Ghana. A KNUST student was stabbed during a chaotic scene when armed men attempted to snatch GH¢ 10,000 given to students by Kennedy Agyapong. The students' attempt to intervene led to the stabbing and random gunshots being fired into the air. The incident has raised concerns about security at political events and the presence of armed individuals. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing the student being stabbed in the upper right rib.


Reacting to the unfortunate incident at his Thank You Tour, Kennedy Agyapong has announced his withdrawal from the tour. He also paid visit to the unnamed stabbing victim who is currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
