Ghana Medical Trust Fund is making waves in Ghana because President John Dramani Mahama has donated six months of his annual salary-even though he's yet to start receiving pay- to the medical initiative also known as Mahama Cares.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund was launched at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) today, April 29.

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund was launched specific to provide financial aid to people suffering chronic diseases such as kidney failure, cancer and heart conditions.
The Initiative forms a part of President John Dramani Mahama's broader health and social protection agenda.
