Ghana's Digital Future Brightens: One Million Coders Program Attracts 90,000 Applications


Ghana's newly launched national digital skills initiative, the One Million Coders Program, is gaining popularity. 

President John Dramani Mahama introduced this program as part of his Reset Ghana agenda, aiming to equip one million citizens with digital skills in areas such as coding, cybersecurity, and data analytics over the next four years.

President John Dramani Mahama revealed during the launch of the One Million Coders Program that the first cohort of 560 trainees had already started training in Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani and Bolgatanga. 

He also declared that more than 90,000 applications were received within the first 48 hours after the programme was announced.
