Rapper and songwriter Sarkodie has filed a lawsuit against Ecobank Ghana at the Commercial Division of the High Court of Justice. The musician alleges that the bank used his image in an advertisement without obtaining his consent.

According to the lawsuit, Sarkodie is seeking damages for the unauthorized use of his image, as well as a perpetual injunction to prevent Ecobank from further using his likeness in any capacity. Additionally, he demands the withdrawal of all related publications featuring his image associated with the bank's products. This high-profile case highlights the importance of intellectual property rights and the need for companies to obtain proper consent before using individuals' images for commercial purposes.
