Diplomatic Stalemate: Russia's Ukraine Ceasefire Conditions Remain Unmet.

Kremlin says nobody has yet answered Russia's questions around a proposed Ukraine ceasefire.

The Kremlin has stated that Russia's key questions regarding a proposed ceasefire in Ukraine remain unanswered, despite President Vladimir Putin's support for the idea in principle. Putin's conditions for a ceasefire include addressing the root causes of the conflict, such as Ukraine's future and NATO's expansion towards Russia's borders, and ensuring Ukraine doesn't use the ceasefire to regroup.

Unresolved Issues The Kremlin's concerns also revolve around verification of a truce, which Putin believes needs clarification. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that these questions remain unanswered, saying, "These questions are still hanging in the air; so far no one has given an answer to them".

Blame Game ..

The Kremlin has placed blame on Kyiv for the lack of progress, citing the Ukrainian government's inability to control "extremist and nationalist units". Conversely, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has deemed Putin's conditions unrealistic, accusing him of wanting to prolong the war.
