A Brief Background on Nuhu Ribadu
Born on November 21, 1960, in Yola, Adamawa State, Ribadu hails from a family of politicians. His father, Ahmadu Ribadu, was a First Republic Member of Parliament and Ambassador to Niger during Muhammadu Buhari's military regime . Ribadu studied law at Ahmadu Bello University and later earned a Master of Laws degree from the same institution.
Nigeria's internal security has just gotten a makeover, thanks to Nuhu Ribadu, the country's new National Security Adviser (NSA). Appointed by President Bola Tinubu, Ribadu brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, having served as the pioneer Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from 2003 to 2007 . During his tenure, he secured over 275 convictions and recovered a staggering $5 billion in stolen assets .
