The hunger strike has garnered significant attention on social media platforms, with #UNLVSJP and #DivestUNLV trending. Supporters and allies are amplifying the students' demands, sharing updates, and expressing solidarity.

"We're not just fighting for Palestinian rights; we're fighting for human rights," said , @unlvSJP organizer. "UNLV's complicity in Israeli occupation is unacceptable, and we won't back down."

The student organizers are seeking three key demands:

1. Divestment: UNLV should withdraw its investments from companies complicit in Israeli occupation, settlement expansion, and human rights violations.

2. Transparency: The university must disclose its investment portfolio, ensuring accountability and transparency.

3. Protection: UNLV should safeguard student organizers from intimidation, harassment, and retaliation.

UNLV administrators have acknowledged the students' concerns, stating that the university "values diversity, equity, and inclusion." However, they have yet to address the specific demands.

This hunger strike joins a growing wave of student-led movements across the United States, advocating for divestment from Israeli occupation and fossil fuel companies.
