In Nigeria: The Inspector-General of Police "IGP" Withdraws Invitation to Emir Sanusi Over Eid-el-Fitr Death Incident.

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has withdrawn the invitation to the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, for questioning over the death recorded during Eid-el-Fitr celebrations in Kano. Initially, police authorities had invited the Emir to their headquarters in Abuja to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. However, following advice from respected stakeholders, the IGP decided to withdraw the invitation to avoid politicization or misinterpretation of policing actions.
