Video: Reekado Banks Welcomes First Child with Partner

  Nigerian singer, songwriter and former Mavin Records signee, Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, better known as Reekado Banks, has welcomed his first child with his partner. The 31 year old singer who took to his social media account to share a video of himself and his unnamed partner leaving the hospital, revealed that the baby was born two years after he lost his mother. In Reekado Banks' words: "Cos how is it two years after? I’m leaving the hospital thankful for the blessings of nothing but deep appreciation for 10 months of absolute show of grit and strength. Love you forever”.

Reekado Banks was signed to record producer and music executive Don Jazzy's Mavin Records from 2014 to 2018 when he abruptly announced the launch of his independent outfit, Banks Music. Banks won Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2014 and received the controversial Next Rated award at The Headies 2015. His debut studio album Spotlight, which was released on 1 September 2016, debuted at number 10 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
