Video: Asake Receives Sold Out Plaque After 02 Arena London Concert

 Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has made history as the third Nigerian act to sell out the 20,000 capacity arena for the second time at his concert which held on 21st September 2024. Other Nigerian musicians who have sold out The 02 Arena more than once are Davido and Wizkid. The O2 Arena which is one of the largest indoor venues in the UK for hosting various events like concerts and sports matches, is the ninth-largest building in the world by volume with a diameter of 365 metres (399 yards) and a height of 52 metres (57 yards).

For selling out the 20,000 seating capacity arena, Asake was presented "sold out" and "work of silver" plaques by music star, Idris Elba. The concert where he made a dramatic entrance and invited Wizkid onstage for a joint performance of their hit song "MMS", was one of Asake's planned multiple headline shows as a part of his 2024 Lungu Boy World Tour. The singer first sold out the 02 Arena in August 2023 where he received rave reviews because he brought onstage one half of of the Lighthouse Family duo to perform the song “Ocean Drive” (Sun’s going to shine on everything you do.)
