Ajuri Ngelale Resigns Position as President Tinubu's Special Adviser

Journalist, broadcaster and Special Adviser to the president on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, has issued a statement declaring his resignation with immediate effect. The Special Adviser who stated that he's proceeding on an indefinite leave of absence to deal with medical matters affecting his nuclear family, added that the pause in his duties extends to his role as spokesperson on the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate action and Chairman, Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen. The now former Special Adviser who neglected to mention the exact nature of the "vexatious medical situation" currently ailing his household, however expressed hope at return to full-time national service when "time, healing and faith permit".

38 year old Ajuri Obari Ngelale previously served as presidential senior special adviser on public affairs to President Muhammadu Buhari and was a co-principal spokesperson of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential campaign council for the 2023 Nigeria presidential elections which they won. Chief Ngelale was a senior reporter and presenter at Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Channels Television. As Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale frequently appeared on national radio and TV, and international media including CNN, BBC and Al-Jazeera.
