Seyi Tinubu, the first son of Nigeria's president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is currently the recipient of social media criticism after images of him at the swearing-in ceremony of Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, surfaced on the internet. Seyi Tinubu's presence at the ceremony haa left Nigerians wondering what official roles the president's 39 year old first son plays in the governance or political scene of the country.

Justice Kekere-Ekun took the oath of office and signed the oath register at 11.40 am at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja on Friday 23rd August,as the 23rd CJN, pending her confirmation by the Senate. Seyi's presence at an event where only top members and government personnel were expected to be in attendance, led Nigerians to urge his father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to create an official designation for his son and stop "sneaking him around". Netizens have also likened the regular interference of Seyi Tinubu and his older sister Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, in the affairs of the country as a reenactment of Don Corleone and his relatives in the book ''The Godfather" written by Mario Puzo.
