Peter Obi Speaks on Newly Acquired Presidential Jet

Following the seizure of Nigeria's 3 presidential jets (hangared at the Paris-Le Bourget and Basel-Mulhouse airports, France) by a Chinese Company over the country's unpaid debt and the subsequent purchase of another presidential jet, former governor of Anambra state and The Labour Party's presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Mr Peter Obi, has in a lengthy post on his social media platforms, urged the presidency to publicly inform Nigerians of how much it cost to acquire the new jet, the age of the new jet and how long the jet has been in operation for.

Mr Obi further urged the government to display transparency on the method of disposal of old jets, their numbers and the exact location of their sale. The politician who advocated that transparency and accountability should be the hallmark of genuine leadership, warned that The Federal Government would lose what's left of its respect if it fails to provide Nigerians whose taxes were used to purchase these jets and whose mandates the president holds, with adequate information on the use of public funds.
