"I Love Marriage" Toke Makinwa Informs Trolls

 Nigerian radio personality, television host, vlogger, lifestyle entrepreneur, actress and author, Toke Makinwa, has in a seeming rant on her official social media platform, emphasized her love for marriage and a marital union. The divorced TV host declared that she found the popular narrative of her being a man hater and basher funny. Extending her rant to the manner with which humans conduct their social relationships, Toke Makinwa asserted that "we use people and value things", she also observed that the current generation moved like everyone is replaceable.

Soon-to-be 40 year old Toke Makinwa has often been vocal about her personal struggles, failed marriage and her harrowing experience at the hands of her ex-husband Maje Ayida, to whom she was married from 2014 to 2017 and had been involved in an eight year relationship before tying the knot. In her 2016 tell-all memoir titled "On Becoming", Toke Makinwa wrote extensively of her ex-husband's betrayal whom she initiated divorce proceedings against following her discovery of his infidelity with his ex-girlfriend who had been expecting his child at the time. In 2017, Toke's marriage to Maje Ayida was dissolved by a Lagos High Court on grounds of his adultery.
