British Zoologist Bags 10 Year Prison Sentence for Beastiality

 A 53 year old British zoologist, Adam Britton, resident in Australia, has been handed a 10 year prison sentence after he pled guilty to 60 charges of sexually abusing and torturing dogs placed in his custody at his animal shelter. The now convicted zoologist who is a crocodile expert, also admitted to sexually abusing his own Swiss Shepherd pets, Ursa and Bolt, for almost a decade. According to court documents, Adam Britton tortured at least 42 dogs, killing 39 of them in the process.

Upon his arrest in 2023, videos depicting animal cruelty were found in Adam Britton's possession during a joint NT Police and Australian Federal Police raid which resulted in his arrest on a rural Darwin property last year. Police also discovered 15 child abuse material and files on his laptop. Crown prosecutor Marty Aust detailed numerous instances of torture and sexual exploitation of animals between November 2020 and April 2022. The court heard Britton had a "sadistic sexual interest" in animals, and in particular dogs, dating back to at least 2014, and that his  conduct regarding the animals was "deliberate and planned".
