Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, today Tuesday 16 July 2024, visited the orientation camp of the National Youth Service Corps located in Ipaja Lagos, in honour of the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 2024 Batch B Stream 1 Corp Members, today. In the course of his visit, the governor who donned the NYSC uniform, offered gifts and rewards to the exiting Corp Members and the orientation camp, pledged the sum of 5 billion naira towards the construction of a permanent site for the National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp in Lagos as well as the sum of N100 million for the scheme's support staff. A 32 seater Hyundai bus was also delivered to the orientation camp courtesy of the governor.

To the exiting 4,254 Corp Members, governor Sanwo-Olu gifted the sum of one hundred (100,000) thousand naira each, an amount which he promised would be directly credited to all of their accounts by next week. In addition to the cash gift, the governor offered automatic employment in the Lagos State Public Service to 100 best deserving Corps Members at the end of their service year.
