Special Adviser to the president on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has in a post on his official social media platform, called out the Labour Party's presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Mr Peter Obi, over his alleged silence following the Supreme Court judgement granting financial autonomy to all 774 local Government Areas in the country. The Special Adviser accused the presidential of hastiness in tweeting unverified news about president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Bayo Onanuga fervently urged Mr Peter Obi to break his silence and acknowledge that the president is making possible a great Nigeria. The Special Adviser also claimed that the PDP's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, had grudgingly admitted to the success of The Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. Bayo Onanuga further educated the LP's presidential candidate on. the qualities and expected conduct of a good opposition statesman.
