Sunday Igboho Speaks Against Planned Protest

 Yoruba self-determination activist Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has stated that the Yoruba Nation will not be participating in the #EndBadGovernance protest in the country, slated to commence on 1st August 2024. Emphasizing that the protest is politically motivated, the activist urged all Yoruba people and well-meaning Nigerians to reject the movement and in seeking true change, wait until the next general elections scheduled to hold in 2027.

Nicknamed after his hometown(Igboho, an old town in Oyo state),Sunday Igboho, rose to fame following his role in the Modakeke-Ife communal crisis in 1997, where he played an active part. He gained social media attention in January 2021 when he gave an ultimatum to Fulani herdsmen in Ibarapa to vacate the land after the killing of Dr. Aborode and enforced same. Sunday who holds a chieftaincy as "Akoni Oodua" of Yorubaland, currently agitates the freedom of the South West and advocating the creation of The Oduduwa Republic.
