Video:Sowore's Protest; Police Officers Patrol Ikeja Underbridge

 Following the call for a Democracy Day (June 12) nationwide protest against the president organised by presidential aspirant of the African Action Congress (AAC) and founder of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, police operatives have surrounded Ikeja and tightened security around the area which Sowore called for the mass protest.

In a video making the rounds on the internet, police officers have been seen patrolling the area in a bid to control the activities of the protesters who in agreement with Sowore's call for a protest against the economic hardship caused by the alleged "regime" of  president Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The organised protest is in spite of a strongly worded press statement issued by the Department of State Service (DSS) dissuading the intent of any protest by none-state actor aiming to "incite mass disaffection".
