Nollywood actor Yvonne Jegede, has in a lengthy post, tendered an apology to social media personality May Yul-Edochie, estranged wife of Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie. The apology to May comes a few days after Yvonne declared on TheHonestBunch podcast hosted by radio personality Nedu, that she saw nothing wrong with Yul Edochie's decision to marry his second wife, Judy Austin. Yvonne Jegede declared that most people who condemned Yul's actions were children whose mothers were second and third wives, she also urged netizens to stop being silly by sending curses to Yul Edochie.

In the lengthy apology posted on social media, Yvonne Jegede claimed that her remarks about Yul's polygamy had no intention of trivializing May's pain. The actress while stating her firm belief of everyone being deserving of love, attention and care, apologized if her statement regarding polygamy and adultery in marriage did not convey the sentiment reflecting said belief.
